I was on vacation from California and looking for a new pair of Carrera Sunglasses.I happened to stop by Optix Eyecare Center in Plainview, Long Island and they actually had great selection on hand. The optician at Optix was extremely helpful and helped me find the exact pair I was looking for. I would definitely recommend Optix Eyecare for sunglasses!

I first went to Dr. Kestenbaum for my first eye exam and haven't stopped going back since. He answered any questions I had especially when I ordered my first pair of contact lenses. The staff is helpful and has helped me from picking out my first pair of glasses to my first pair of nice sun glasses I've ever owned. I have recommended them to all my friends and family.

I love going to Optix (from Manhattan or Baldwin) not only because of the quality eye doctors and staff but also the caring environment that exists there. After I picked up my latest Prodesign frames my students were raving about them! My mother was so impressed with my stories about the service at Optix that she too picked out a new pair of eye glasses with the help and advice of the great Optix staff.

Dr. Kestenbaum and Dr. Zalaznick are wonderful Optometrists, I have gotten checked out by both of them. Also the staff at Optix is very helpful even when it gets busy in there. Luckily my eyes are healthy so my visits are quick. Just wanted to say that Optix Family eyecare is the best on Long Island. Also if you like designer sunglasses and eyeglasses, Oh my god do they have a great selection, and its growing!

I have been going to Optix for over 15 years and they have the best opticians around. Their optometrists are great and I know my eyes are healthy when I leave Optix. I am from Woodbury but my friends from Syosset, Jericho, and Plainview also go to Optix because the location is great.

Dr. Kestenbaum's office is always there to answer any questions I have and Dr K is a very friendly doctor. I bought my first pair of glasses from them and upgraded to contacts a short while later and have been happy since. Easy location and lots of parking and they always seem to look out for your interests.

Optix is a great store located in Plainview Long Island. All of the workers at Optix are very helpful, and they have a great variety of Sunglasses. I enjoy their selection of prada sunglasses. They have a lot of styles that look good. Joel Kestenbaum is an excellent eye doctor. He makes eye exams comfortable and enjoyable. He is a true expert of his craft.

Dr. Zalaznick is a wonderful Optometrist with a gentle touch, positive attitude, and professional expertise - everything I look for in my doctors. This seems to be the case with Optix of Plainview all around. Dr. Joel Kestenbaum and his staff are all wonderful individuals. I will usually drop by the office during passing just to say hello to everyone. It truly brightens up my day. Anyway, if you are considering a new optometrist, I would DEFINITELY check out Optix. Everyone has their own opinions but I have been through several optometric practices and I am happy to say I am sticking with Optix.

Michelle Zalaznick is a wonderful Optometrist and her in depth knowledge of the eyes is what practically saved me from going blind! She spotted cataracts in both of my eyes but thanks to her my vision is back and my eyes are healthy. I really do not know what I would do without her and the Optix practice. My heart goes out their entire staff.

Everyone knows how difficult it can be to shop with a teenage girl - especially when it comes to glasses - and my daughter is no different.  She is extremely sensitive about the way she is perceived by others.  When you wear glasses, they make a statement about you.  Getting just the right pair can be the difference between geek and chic.  So, whenever we go to choose new glasses for her it becomes quite the ordeal.  She has to try on every possible pair and says there's either nothing or that there's too many to pick just one.  Mom's taste, of course, is so "not cool".  My daughter's always on the verge of tears.  Then we tried Optix Family Eye Care.  The wonderful staff at Optix came to the rescue.  Optix has a huge selection of the hottest designers and latest styles.  They were exceedingly patient and caring.  They knew what's "in," what looked best on my daughter, and what worked best with her prescription.  She walked out smiling and confident.  I'll never take her anywhere else again!        -Wendy R.
